Single-speed or Fixed Gear?
Your indiebike is a natural born split personality. The Flip Flop Hub is a ‘fixed gear’ on one side and a ‘freewheel’ (like you are used to from regular bikes) on the other. You decide whether you ride a Fixie or a singlespeed – anytime and without the need of changing parts.
How do I break with my indiebike?
We equip each bike with a front and rear wheel break. For your own health, we recommend to keep the brakes on and use the single-speed side if you are not used to riding a fixed gear bicycle. For tricks and bike polo, you can change your indiebike into a fixed gear in a matter of minutes.
How much assembly is required from my side?
Each indiebike is like a child for us. We’d happily ride the bike to your front porch but generally we rely on the services of our couriers, UPS and Noxxs.
We complete about 90% of the assembly here in Cologne before packaging. There is some assembly required upon receiving. However, this is minimal. The only assembly required is the installation of the front wheel, the seat, the brakes and the handle bar. You will need a set of allen wrenches (sizes 4 to 6).
Which frame size should I choose?
Frame sizes are like dress sizes. Some like it wider, some like it tight. Of course, you could get into your Spandex pants and measure your legs (we’d be glad to publish the pictures on our Facebook page) – but you don’t have to. We prepared a table with the right size for you.
|Frame size||Body size|
|52 cm||155 cm — 165 cm|
|54 cm||165 cm — 180 cm|
|59 cm||180 cm+|
If your frame doesn’t fit you, you can send back your indiebike within two weeks. Just write us an email and we will send our courier to pick up your indiebike from your front porch.
What about warranty?
We at indiebikes attach great importance to quality. We only co-operate with established manufacturers and check each bike for faults before shipping. If you however received an item that is defective, you should contact us immediately so we can get it sorted.
We provide the full statutory warranty under German Consumer Law. Just write us an email and we will send over our courier.
